Windows Embedded Standard（WES） 是 Windows XP Embedded（就是很有名

的 XPE，相信大家都听说过或者使用过）的下一代产品，由 WES Build 出来的 XP 镜

像（Runtime Image）是 Windows XP SP3 版本。

WES 和 XPE 相比较有如下优势：

(1) 包含 Microsoft Silverlight

(2) 包含 .NET Framework 3.5

(3) 支持 Windows Vista 和 Windows Server 2008 的新技术，主要是指 RDP v6.1

(4) 包含 Windows Media Player 11

(5) 包含 Internet Explorer 7

(6) 支持 Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

(7) 支持 System Center Configuration Manager

(8) 包含 MBSA (Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer)

(9) 新平台技术和特性的迁移，主要是指 Windows 7 和 Windows Server 2008 R2

下面我们就来看看 WES2009 的安装过程：

1）首先准备好一台安装有 Windows XP 或者 Windows Server 2003 系统的计算机

（虽然 MS 说 Windows Vista 和 Windows Server 2008 也可以安装，但建议安装

在 Windows XP 或者 Windows Server 2003 系统中）

2) 加载下载好的 WES2009 镜像，进行安装，我们来看看正式安装前的准备：

WES2009 的运行需要 SQL Server 2005 的支持，推荐安装 SQL Server 2005 标准

版或者企业版。

3) Prepare 工作结束后，就可以启动安装向导进行安装了。
