Installation PrerequisitesInstallation Prerequisites OverviewBefore installing or upgrading CCT software, verify that the prerequisite software

components listed in Table2 under the Operating System (OS) of your computer

are installed. This document only shows prerequisite component locations if

needed. Share this list with your Information Technology (IT) department. For

details on verifying and installing prerequisites, including installing SQL Server

software, refer to the ADS, ADX, and SCT Installation and Upgrade Instructions

Wizard (LIT-12011521).

Verify the SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server Express ConfigurationIf you use SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server Express, you need to verify the

configuration before you install more information about installing SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server Express,

refer to the ADS, ADX, and SCT Installation and Upgrade Wizard (LIT-12011521).

To verify the SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server Express configuration: the Start > Programs menu, select SQL Server > Configuration Tools >

Verify the SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Express ConfigurationIf you use SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server Express, you need to verify the

configuration before you install more information about installing SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Express,

refer to the ADS, ADX, and SCT Installation and Upgrade Wizard (LIT-12011521).

To verify the SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Express configuration: the Start > Programs menu, select Microsoft SQL Server 2008 >

Configuration Tools > SQL Server Configuration Manager. The SQL Server

InstallShield® Wizard dialog box (Figure4). Either the Welcome screen

(Figure6) or the CCT Upgrade screen (Figure5) appears.

version of CCT. Click Yes to upgrade.

Note:The CCT installation checks to verify that .NET Framework Version

3.5 with SP1 is installed. If the Requirements Not Satisfied screen

appears, click OK. You must install .NET Framework Version 3.5 with

SP1 from the ADS/ADX or SCT DVD before installing the CCT

software.

Next. The Destination Folder screen (Figure8) appears.

Change Current Destination Folder screen (Figure8) appears. Browse to

the destination folder, and click OK.

Next to install CCT in the specified folder. The Database Server screen

(Figure9) appears.

cases, this is (local).If you are using a SQL Server instance name other than MSSQLSERVER, add

the SQL Server instance name in this format computername/ authentication select one of the following:•Connect using Windows authentication: Check the radio button to log on

to the CCT SQL Server software using the Windows OS credentials of the

user who is logged on to the computer, on which you are installing the SCT

option means that the Windows OS user currently logged on to the

CCT computer must have SQL Server Administrator rights on the CCT

computer. If the user does not have these rights, do not check this box.•Connect using (SQL) Server authentication: Check the radio button and

fill in the Login ID and Password fields to use SQL Server authentication

to access SQL Server software during the installation. For Login ID, enter a

valid sa login for the SQL Server software on the CCT computer. For

Password, enter the matching administrator password for the SQL Server

Next. The Custom Setup screen (Figure10) appears.

To change language options: the Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs. The Add or

Modify and click Next. The Custom Setup screen (Figure19) 19: Custom Setup the language support options and click Next. The US English

the necessary language installation of the new language options is complete, the InstallShield
