讲述百度的故事

很多人都问我们的名字的含义。 "Baidu" was inspired by a poem written more

than 800 years ago during the Song Dynasty. “百度”的灵感写在宋800

多年前一首诗。 The poem compares the search for a retreating beauty amid

chaotic glamour with the search for one's dream while confronted by life's

many obstacles.这首诗比较际与一个人的梦想搜索混乱魅力的一个后退的同

时，寻找美丽的生活面临许多障碍。 "„hundreds and thousands of times, for

her I searched in chaos, suddenly, I turned by chance, to where the lights

were waning, and there she stood." “...数百和数千次，对她我搜查混乱，

literal meaning is hundreds of times, represents persistent search for

Baidu chose a poetic Chinese name because it wants the world to remember

统。 As a native speaker of the Chinese language and a talented engineer,

Baidu focuses on what it knows best - Chinese language search.作为汉语

avant-garde technology to the world's most ancient and complex language

is as challenging as it is exciting.运用前卫的技术在世界上最古老和复杂

think so.至少在百度这里的人这么认为。 As having diligently disclosed in

the Prospectus of our recent Initial Public Offering, we believe there

important that we master all the ways of addressing oneself in Chinese

constantly make improvements to our products and services.为了改善用户

"phonetic" or "pin-yin" search which allows our users to type in Chinese

to skip the switching from English inputting to Chinese inputting and for
