Too tired to flee, and worried by the moral decadence of their people, Raelag and his mentor Sorshan devise a plan to

cement the Dark Elves as a nation. To do this, they intend to bring back the Invisible Library that was taken to Sheogh a

century earlier. The first step of their audacious plan is to obtain the ashes of Queen Tuidhana, kept in a sacred Reliquary,

in a territory controlled by the Unicorn Duchy.

A mysterious plague is ravaging the ranks of the Necromancers of Heresh. Liches, Vampires and Namtarus are dying. The

Holy Empire, led by a glory-seeking princess, wants to exploit the necromancer`s weakness to invade their lands. For

unknown reasons, the vampire-mercenary Vein appears unaffected by the plague. He is hired to help the defense of the

fortress of Nelsham-Nadin, at the border between Heresh and the Empire.

Seeking a remedy to the disease, Vein is contacted by Belketh, the founder of the Necromancers. Belketh has been trying

to reach the Invisible Library of the Faceless, brought back from Sheogh a decade earlier, as he believes the Library holds

the answers to the plague. Vein travels to the Dark Elf realm to meet with Belketh.

Necromancers. The Mother Namtaru must be brought back to the Forgotten Island, the place where she was created. Vein

embarks on a quest to reach the elusive island.

Vein is now walking the memories of the Mother Namtaru. As the Mother Namtaru was created from Asha`s nightmares of

the Wars of Creation, the Necromancers find themselves reenacting this mythical conflict. They must now fight the

influence of the Void that is trying to negate these memories, and ensure things are remembered as they actually

happened. This begins by fighting the chaotic armies in the Elemental Realms.
