Cervical spondylosis 颈椎病(上班族常见病)

Cervical spondylosis is a disorder失调 in which there is abnormal wear疲劳 on

the cartilage 软骨and bones of the neck (cervical vertebrae)(颈椎).

Causes

Cervical spondylosis is caused by chronic慢性的 wearing away磨损

(degeneration衰退) of the cervical spine颈椎, including the cushions缓冲、垫子

between the neck vertebrae (cervical disks颈椎盘) and the joints 连接处between

the bones of the cervical spine. There may be abnormal growths or "spurs刺激物"

on the bones of the spine脊椎、脊柱 (vertebrae).

These changes can, over time久而久之, press down on压在…上 (compress压缩)

one or more of the nerve roots神经根. In advanced cases, the spinal cord脊髓

becomes involved. This can affect not just the arms, but the legs as well.

The major risk factor is aging. By age 60, most women and men show signs of

cervical spondylosis on x-ray. Other factors that can make a person more likely to

develop spondylosis are:

Past neck injury (often several years before)

Severe arthritis关节炎

Past spine surgery

Symptoms

Symptoms often develop slowly over time, but may start suddenly.

More common symptoms are:

Neck pain (may radiate to辐射到 the arms or shoulder)

Neck stiffness颈部僵硬 that gets worse over time

Loss of sensation感觉 or abnormal sensations in the shoulders, arms, or

(rarely) legs

Weakness虚弱、无力 of the arms or (rarely) legs

Headaches, particularly显著地 in the back of the head

Less common symptoms are:

Loss of balance

Loss of control over the bladder 膀胱or bowels内脏 (if spinal cord is

compressed)
