华为 产品命名规则

Each network equipment suppliers of products has its own naming

rules, don't look down upon a few simple letters or Numbers,

for a network engineer, a look at the name can clearly know the

product performance, configuration, probably even a port

number. In this paper, we will introduce the product naming

rules of H3C.

One, the interface naming rules

Lite software Image indicates that the device is a weak feature

version.

Standard software Image indicates that the device is the

Standard version and contains the underlying features.

The Enhanced software Image indicates that the device is a

Enhanced version with some advanced features.

Hyper software Image indicates that the device is advanced and

contains some more advanced features

Z, which means there is no upward interface; (the new product

doesn't allow it)

G, which means the upside GBIC interface;

P, the upside SFP interface;

T, which represents the ascending RJ45 interface;

V, which represents the upstream VDSL interface;

W, which represents the upward configurable WAN interface;

C, which means that the upside interface is optional;

M, which means that the upward interface is multimodal.

S, which means the ascending interface is a single mode of

light;

F, means the downstream interface is the template board, the

pluggable interface board or the electrical interface board.

The name of the old products is 3526F, 3526EF, 3552F, etc.

When simultaneously present, the upside interface is composite

for multiple interface types

Note: the Combo port is not shown in the name.

Performance naming rules

Quidway sa1a2a3a3a4a5 - a7 A11 A11 - 【 A14 A15 A16] - [A17 A18].

A1 represents the product series, which mainly marks the

maximum interface rate of the upstream port:

A1 is 1 - the box 10/100m switch, up to 100 megabytes, no

management;

A1 is 2-box 10/100m switch, up to 100M, and managed;
